Why You Should Grow Your Own Vegetables

Through love and nurture, it grows in front of your eyes from a small seed into a productive plant. Pulled from your own backyard, into your kitchen and onto your plate, your taste buds receive fresh bursts of flavour, full of nutrition goodness.

There are many reasons why you should grow your own vegetables, but from experience, here are my 4 personal favourite.

Cost Effective
Through growing your own vegetables, it can be an cost-effective alternative to saving money when you’re on a tight budget.

I don’t know about you, but there are a few times I have reached into my fridge and pulled out bruised vegetables. Having your own vegetable garden allows you to pull your produce fresh from the garden.

Mental Health
While eating fresh vegetables from your garden can provide great nutritions, it also is great for your mental health. Growing a garden offers many emotional, physical and mental benefits. It can help to relieve stress, get out into the sun and be active.

There is nothing more satisfying than growing your own vegetables. To know you have grown a plant from start to finish is extremely satisfying
